Vogogna |
Vogogna is a quaint little old town surrounding by giant mountains,
like Monte Rosa, and it’s part of the Val Grande National Park,
the largest wilderness in Italy. It’ s plunged in green Val d’Ossola
and not far from the Maggiore, Orta and Mergozzo lakes. |
From Vogogna you can reach Genestredo hamlet: on foot, in 15 minutes
walking along a steep path and enjoying a nice view upon the stone roofs
of Vogogna, or by car. Genestredo is a wonderful little stone town;
there is the wash-house, the oven and the characteristic Circolo Arci
, where you can eat and drink cheaply in weekends...From Genestredo
you can reach the Fortress (IX c.) situated on a rock which overhangs
the valley. |
